We don't ever penalize advertising cost. It is purely calculated by the rolling 5 day drop average. It is likely to be normal for there to be some fluctuation as your blog appears and disappears from the various top-n listings. For example if you turn up in "Least wait", you'll get extra attention and therefore extra drops for a short time, but it won't last, and when those drops roll off the end of the 5 day period your price will drop slightly.
